12/11/2007: "It's Chriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssstmaaaaaaaaaasss"

It's taken me so long to blog again as for the last week and a bit I've had a really bad cold. It's getting better though, my sore throat's gone I've just got this sniffle to get rid of and it won't seem to go away! I've no idea where all this snot comes from, bleurghh x_x

The Christmas party was really good, I wore a sleeveless red dress that was quite floaty and covered in glitter. My dress got loads of compliments but no one said I looked nice lol, oh well I'm used to it. I spent most the night on the dancefloor, there's just something really fun about a disco! I hurt my feet though from dancing in heels, got a bruise on one of them now, ouch! It's strange because I didn't have much to drink but I still felt really drunk at the end of the night!

I've had quite a busy week again despite being ill. I went to the Squeeze concert in Wolverhampton which was pretty good. I also went to a place called Shugborough Hall which is a stately house which you look round at all the posh furniture. They had an open night there where they decorate it in all old Christmas decorations and candles, it looked really pretty! They also had real reindeers there which were really cute!

On Saturday, me and Dale went to London for the day. We spent all the time on Oxford Street looking round all the big shops. I can't believe how big the Topshop there is, I thought the one in Birmingham was huge but it's like 3 times bigger. It was so busy though, everyone was literally walking bumper to bumper the whole time. I don't like it when it's that busy as you feel like you have to rush, but I guess it will be like that all the time when we go to New York City!

On Sunday, me and Dale went to a place called Brindley Place where there is a canal route. They had a parade of canal boats there all dressed up in Christmas lights, it was really pretty! They had one with a massive snow queen on it and a dragon that breathed real fire. Noddy Holder was there, for those of you that don't know him he's an 'old rocker' who had a big Christmas hit in the 70s and he comes from where I live.

This week I am performing in my first belly dance show on Friday, it's a show for different classes to perform in their groups what they have learnt. I think we are on first and I am so nervous! They are meant to be filming it for a dvd and there will be a professional photographer there which is quite scary! I might hide at the back.. Dale is threatening to go and watch arrrrggghhh. Then on Saturday I go to see one of my favourite bands in the world play at the Academy, Hard-Fi!

I can't even imagine how it must be to shop in London. The biggest city I've ever been to is Stockholm, which even though it's Swedens capital is quite small compared to London.

Good luck with the belly dancing! It must be really fun knowing how to do that. It looks so hard!

Glad you got over your cold. I just got opver one myself. I guess it's just that time of year. The party sounds fun, I haven't been to a party in a long time, I should probably get on to doing that myself as well.

Yay for christmas parties! I went to one on friday. They're so festive and fun! And disco? It's must be a European thing as I don't think I've ever seen one over here in the states. Plenty of clubs...no disco

Ew disco! Ew, Christmas! Ew, why do I bitch instead of minding my own business? Lol. Needless to say I don't get into Christmas as much as everyone else seems to, but that comes with not celebrating it and all, but the belly dancing thing sounds like it'd be a blast to learn.
